Shopping And „Oben Ohne“ Music Festival

Liebes Tagebuch,
Nachdem wir am Freitag erst sehr spät nach Hause gekommen sind, haben wir uns heute morgen Zeit gelassen. Wir standen um 10 Uhr morgens auf und haben Frühstück gegessen. Dadurch, dass wir am Sonntag chinesische Dumplings essen wollten, mussten wir heute einkaufen gehen. Jackie’s Großmutter hat uns eine Einkaufsliste gegeben, auf der alle wichtigen Zutaten standen. Der Besuch eines asiatischen Ladens in Deutschland war eine neue Erfahrung für Jackie. In dem Laden gab es nicht nur chinesische, sondern auch vietnamesische und andere asiatische Waren.
Danach kam das Hauptevent, nämlich das „Oben Ohne“ Festival im Stadtzentrum. Nachdem wir 15 andere deutsche Schüler und drei chinesische Austauschpartner getroffen haben, sind wir zum Königsplatz, ein historischer Platz in München, gelaufen.
Anstelle von Autos, Radfahrern und Touristen war der Platz von Tausenden junger Menschen überfüllt, die ihre Lieblingskünstler sehen wollten. Die chinesischen Studenten haben ihre Zeit bei den Konzerten wirklich genossen und werden Erinnerungen an laute Musik, Tanz und Moshpits nach China zurückbringen.

Dear Diary,
After coming home late Friday night, Jackie and I took our time in the morning, as we were not in a hurry anyway. After waking up around 10 am, we had a relaxed breakfast with the family. As we had planned to cook Chinese dumplings on Sunday, the shopping had to be done now. After Jackie’s grandmother gave us a list of groceries to buy, we set off. Going to an Asian speciality store in Germany was a true experience for Jackie. The items that could be bought were similar or the same as they are in China, but the store did not only sell Chinese but also Vietnamese and other Asian food supplies.
Then, it was time for the main event of the day: The „Oben Ohne“ music festival in the city centre. After meeting with about 15 other German students and three Chinese exchange partners, we set off to the Königsplatz, a historic square in Munich. Instead of cars, cyclists and tourist, the square was crowded by thousands of young people wanting to see their favourite artists. The Chineses students truly enjoyed their time at the concerts and will bring memories of loud music, dancing and moshpits back to China.
