Bavarian Breakfast, Art Lesson And Tour In The City Centre

Liebes Tagebuch,
Heute war der erste Tag in München. Um 8 Uhr traf sich die ganze Gruppe in der Schule zu einem bayerischen Frühstück. „Weißwurst“ und „Brezn“ wurden serviert. Die Schulleiter des Dante- und des Klenze-Gymnasiums begrüßten sie ebenfalls. Später hörten wir auch ein fröhliches Stück der Big Band vom Klenze-Gymnasium, das allen Spaß machte.
Anschließend nahm die chinesische Gruppe an einer Kunststunde teil, bei der sie die Gelegenheit hatte, eine kleine Skulptur aus Brot zu bauen.
Am Nachmittag fuhren siein die Innenstadt und besuchten die Frauenkirche. Hier erfuhren sie alles über den berühmten Münchner Dom. Am Ende blieben einige Austauschstudenten in der Innenstadt, einige gingen nach Hause.
Obwohl es heute kalt und regnerisch war, haben wir uns alle gut verstanden und alle freuen sich darauf, die nächsten zwei Wochen zusammen zu verbringen.

Dear Diary,
Today was the first day in Munich. At 8 o’clock, the whole group met at school for a Bavarian breakfast. „Weißwurst“ and „Brezn“ were served. The principals of the Dante- and the Klenze-Gymnasium welcomed them as well. Later we also got to listen to a joyful play of the Big Band of the Klenze, which everybody enjoyed.
Afterwards, the Chinese group took part in an art lesson, where they had the opportunity to build a little sculpture out of bread.
In the afternoon they headed to the city centre and visited the „Frauenkirche“. At this place, they were told all about the famous cathedral in Munich. In the end, some exchange students stayed in the city centre, some of them went home.
Although it was cold and rained today, we all got along well and everybody is looking forward to spending the next two weeks together.
